The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a uniform legislation across the EU which enforces European data protection rules and regulations and the right to personal data protection. These regulations and requirements focus on how personal data, which is any information relating to an identifiable person, who can be directly or indirectly identified, is collected, recorded, stored and distributed.
Through the GDPR consumers/clients have more control over their personal data, either by providing clear and unambiguous consent following a well-defined privacy policy, as well as a right to withdraw consent at any time.
KGR COUNSELLING Privacy Policy
Please read this privacy notice carefully to understand practices regarding your personal data. KGR COUNSELLING strives to ensure data is kept secure, managed respectfully and used only for the purposes intended.
I am registered with the Information Commissions Office (ICO) as a data controller and believe maintaining privacy and trust are of the utmost importance.
Visitors to our Website and Social Media Platforms
When someone visits KGR COUNSELLING’s website, standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns are collected. This allows KGR COUNSELLING to track number of visitors to various parts of the site. This information however is not identifiable.
No user-specific data is collected, and if you fill in the contact enquiry form, that data will be stored by the web host before being sent to KGR COUNSELLING.
If you sign up to follow KGR COUNSELLING’S blog your Email will be stored by the web host who will notify KGR COUNSELLIG via email. Followers will then receive an email notifiying them every time a post is published.
If you engage with KGR COUNSELLING’s media platforms (Counselling with Kassandra), no personal data will be collected or stored. However, please do make sure you are aware of the privacy policies of such platforms and how they use your data. Counselling with Kassandra currently has a presence on Facebook and Instagram.
Initial Contact
Response to KGR COUNSELLING’s contact enquiry form will be made via Email, where a contact number will be requested. Phone calls are not recorded and no further personal data is requested.
Personal Information
Personal data is collected and stored confidentially upon agreement of counselling sessions.
KGR COUNSELLING’S Privacy Policy will be provided during the initial session for review which details all the information collected and recorded, including storage as well as processing and sharing.
Erasing Your Information
All information KGR COUNSELLING holds will be held for a maximum of 7 years after a final session or last point of contact as a reference of the work for situations as your returning to counselling.
Any telephone numbers or text messages will be erased from the business mobile within 4 weeks of a final session and/or last point of contact.
Your rights
You have the right:
- to be informed of what information is collected and recorded
- to see the information recorded and stored (free of charge for initial request, then £5/request thereafter)
- to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal information
- to withdraw consent of the usage of your personal information
- to request that some or all of your personal information be erased (though this can be declined whilst the information is needed for lawful and competent practice)
Accessing your Personal Information

Complaints
If you are not happy with the privacy policy or have any complaint with respect to the practices regarding your personal data, please put this in writing to hello@counsellingwithkassandra.com.
The utmost will be done to resolve any concerns you may have, but if these are not resolved to your satisfaction, you may choose to contact the ICO.
